Directed by Samir Karnik, YAMLA PAGLA DEEWANA is a much awaited movie particularly in Northern India due to the fact that it brings together the Deol clan on screen after 3 years when the father-sons trio created magic on screen in Apne. However, YAMLA PAGLA DEEWANA is entirely different in its overall aura. It is a comedy movie and the story is of Paramveer Singh Dhillon (Sunny Deol) who lives with his mother and wife, working as a loan recovery agent in a bank. His mother had abandoned his father Dharam (played by the charismatic Dharminder) because of his lack of sincerity towards the family. And with Dharam, she unwillingly also loses track of her younger son. Paramveer is determined to trace out his father and brother, and goes to India to find them. To his dismay, he realizes that his father and brother are the most nefarious conmen in Banaras! What follows is a host of comical situations involving Paramveer, Dharam and Gajodhar (Bobby Deol). It would be interesting to see how the real life family fares on the reels.
