| So it seems that the long expected production All The Best, out next week, has been caught up in a controversy over the script. Ajay Devgan, actor and producer of "All The Best" has been sued for copyright violation by producer Karan Ramsay (Om Films Company).
Karan Ramsay has an ongoing project called Uncle Samijha Karo and claims that the scripts from the two movies match almost perfectly. The situation is very complicated, as Ramsay develops the story behind the script, declaring he purchased it from a writer called Paritosh Painter almost three years ago, and one year later Painter tried to get his hands on the copyrights of the script. The IMPPA helped clear the case then, giving favor to Ramsay so he could start filming.

All is very clear as far as Ramsay is concerned, but Ajay Devgn claims “All the Best script is actually based on an American play entitled Right Bed Wrong Husband?, paying 40,000USD for the legal rights of the script. Internal sources from Devgn Films claim that Monday will give a better picture of the whole situation, but meanwhile they continue as scheduled with promoting the movie.
Everyone now holds on to wait for the outcome on the case against Ajay Devgn and his film All The Best. |
