The latest romantic flick ‘I Hate Luv Stories’ has been filmed in exotic Queenstown of New Zealand, and the country’s tourism department is now ready to reap the profits from the anticipated increment in the number of tourists after the worldwide release of the movie.
‘I Hate Luv Stories’ premiered in India and the rest of the world on July 2. The movie, which stars Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor, has been partly filmed in Queenstown. With the worldwide release of the movie, New Zealand is hoping that the country’s natural beauty will be exposed to such a huge audience across the world. The tourism department hopes that the exposure would bring great profits to country’s tourism industry. Kevin Bowler, the chief executive of Tourism New Zealand, said that tourism in New Zealand is an increasingly growing market and with the release of ‘I Hate Luv Stories’ it would benefit a lot. The department supported the film crew and hosted Indian media for more exposure of the country in Indian newspapers. Tourism New Zealand is also using paid advertisements to promote the tourism profile of New Zealand in India. According to the department, every year more than 25,000 Indian tourists visit New Zealand and hopes that the number would increase incredibly with the release of ‘I Hate Luv Stories’.
