The underwater action movie BLUE has a line of actors including of Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Kumar, Lara Dutta, Katrina Kaif (special appearance), Rahul Dev and Zayed Khan. Gossip was all around that Katrina Kaif was paid an unbelievably high amount just for showing up in an item number for this upcoming bollywood movie! Several sources have confirmed that Katrina Kaif is currently the highest paid item girl in indian movie industry!

This proved to be totally false as Katrina is doing BLUE as a friendly gesture and definitely not for the big bucks.  She is not only appearing in the item song but also portraying a special appearance as a character in BLUE.
The filmmakers of BLUE are the ones who delivered Katrina her first major box office hit in a David Dhawan's movie - MAINE PYAR KYUN KIYA. This is verified by the bollywood's reigning queen - one of the most bankable actress. She did accept that she is doing cameo in BLUE only for friendship.

As many are aware, the action and now the comedy king Akshay Kumar was involved in an almost fatal shark related accident while shooting for a very risky underwater sequence with these super killer machines!
