| Veteran Bollywood actor and Bharatiya Janata Party leader, Mr. Shatrughan Sinha has joined hands with RGV (Ram Gopal Verma) to bring another politician’s life to surface. The movie is titled Rakta Charitra. This is for the first time in Indian Bollywood history that a politician’s life (N.T. Rama Rao) is being portrayed by another politician (Shatrughan Sinha). Rakta Charitra is a trilingual film about the legendary politician Mr. N.T. Rama Rao.
Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao was a renowned actor, producer, and director in the telegu film industry. He founded the Telegu Desam Party (TDP) in 1982 and served Andhra Pradesh as the chief minister for three terms. He played a pioneering part in such decisions as the Bill to amend Inheritance Law to provide equal rights for women to inherit ancestral property. Born in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh his life had been through series of ups and downs. He single handedly brought many changes in Andhra Pradesh still remains unforgotten.
This highly ambitious project of RAKTA CHARITRA is a first of its kind in the celluloid world. But the biggest shocking surprise is Shatrughan Sinha who has recently shaved off his moustache for the film, sporting a clean look. In his 36 years of film career Mr. Shatrughan Sinha was never seen without it. Many of his close associates tried to pull him out of this decision. But solely on his own conviction and sheer belief, he plans to go for a complete make over.
Another big surprise is Vivek Oberoi. He is sporting a moustache in the film. A complete reversal of look by two renowned actors in the Bollywood film industry - Surely a film to keep your eyes open for.
